Studio Canal has revealed that is preparing a brand new Blu-ray release of Russell Mulcahy's film Highlander(1986), starring Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, Roxanne Hart, Clancy Brown, and James Cosmo. The release will be available for purchase on June 13.
Technical specs and supplemental features to be included on this upcoming release have not yet been confirmed.
Synopsis: Connor McCloud (Christopher Lambert) is a Scotsman from the Middle Ages who discovers that he cannot be killed in battle. Cast out by his clan, who believe him to be a witch, he is befriended by another Immortal, Ramirez (Sean Connery), who teaches him of the Gathering, a magical event which can be experienced by one of their kind when all the others are slain. Immortals can only be killed by being beheaded, and in the Twentieth century McCloud has only one Immortal left to face in battle - the evil Kurgan.
